Should we further automate our cybersecurity protocols?
As we see an ever-increases adoption of AI technologies in the working world, it can be tempting to jump on the bandwagon and see chat GPT and its ilk as the saviours of productivity limitations and security vulnerabilities. However, it’s worth being aware of the hidden drawbacks and misunderstood risks associated with an over-reliance on these tools.
This article calls for increased automation in cybersecurity, which, on the surface, sounds like a great thing, but it does set a worrying precedent of creating a system whereby our security is overly interconnected, and a single vulnerability can bring down or compromise an entire network, without the human oversight that may catch these issues before they present a greater risk to the company.
