• Hi everyone.

Just reintroducing ourselves as your local (UK) Information technology Managed Service Provider.

Having just achieved the ISO 27001:2022 accreditation we are pleased now to be back on track with the standard.
ISO 27001 is just the beginning in our opinion of where we all need to be with IT security.

It's a huge standard and takes many aspects of IT security into account.

Mitigation against user activity is always a favourite of mine.

Having been in the game now for over a quarter of a century gives us the advantage of experience and professionalism when it comes to cyber attacks.

The more common ones we have dealt with are:

System administrators failing / refusing to do updates for fear of upsetting a server. (Sounds daft but it can cause a bit of a mess).
Users clicking on dodgy email links. (Very common and can be disruptive).

The more sinister stuff can easily be tracked using a decent SIEM and generally speaking if you keep up to date with patches and don't click any dodgy links you should be good.

If you need advice on SIEMs give us a call for a FREE chat :D. Taking the advice of a canny salesman.

    Stay safe folks.
