Are you a new start up business or an established one looking to generate revenue from your business phone calls.

If the answer is yes then you’re about to use or are using a new 084 or 087 number(s) to assist you with this.

Or do you already use 084 or 087 numbers within your organisation.

Maybe your boss left you with the task of attaining several 084/087 numbers for your business and he will be giving you a big pat on the back for generating a decent rate per hour, now you have found 08UK.

To avoid fines from trading standards, this UK legislation applies to all B2C companies including all sole traders. Here at 08UK we are of course compliant, as we have some sole traders.

Other good questions;-
Why are Ofcom telling me our company isn’t compliant with new Ofcom regulations?

We had a call from Ofcom prior to the changes asking if we would be compliant, when what we were to do had not been announced, what are we supposed to do?

Does this apply to us, because we are in the travel industry were exempt aren’t we?

What rate is our 0845 per minute then?

What rate is our 0844 per minute then?

What rate is our 0871 per minute then?

What rate is our 0870 per minute then?

What is the access charge if callers ask us – so we can advise them properly?

The problem is still this access 084 & 087 charge that applies when called from mobiles,.. isn’t it?

Ofcom are the independent government regulatory authority for the UK communications industry.

No-one wants to be speaking with the directors, no-one wants…‘Can I have a word, Why are we not declaring our 0844 call costs now on our vans, website and printed material?’

And of course ‘I didn’t know we had to’ is not the answer, ignorance is no defence against fines. The lesson to be learned here is many people are being given this job responsibility without being aware of the rules and regulations which are formulated by Ofcom.

Printing business material is costly and advertising is costly so it’s imperative to know the rules before you start the process, to learn all about Ofcom rules and regulations visit Ofcom’s website
