In today's world change is inevitable, it is a necessity!

The post-pandemic era has just accelerated how we utilise tech and software to be more efficient yet improve a better work-life balance. This is fantastic, it is what everyone wanted... fewer long days in cramped offices. This has meant that businesses are having to make radical changes in software being used, business processes that are in place, and workplace access and layout. Some businesses are even downsizing the Head Office because it's not required anymore and there is a financial saving to be had.

It all sounds great, right? It is right up until the powers that be decide this is now your responsibility.

This sadly happens an awful lot and I have seen it in several of the companies that I have worked for. You have a full-time position that demands your full attention 5 days a week and suddenly you have to manage a change within the business whilst still hitting your day-to-day objectives. As a result the chance of that change being implemented successfully and the business getting full benefit diminishes and you are held accountable.

This is why change isn't your problem! It should be the problem of someone who can focus the entirety of their energy on that specific project. This is why Project/Change Managers exist.
