2Ducks was formed by Craig Robinson in 2012 as an independent IT resourcing and consultancy organisation. The aim is to provide what you need, when you need it and for a fair price.
Craig’s experience is very much in Professional service firms having spent 12 years working for 2 top 20 Legal firms.
With the economic environment as it is, businesses are 'up against it' in terms of providing the best possible IT infrastructure and services with increasingly challenging budgets. The squeeze is on in terms of resources too with staff now tending to wear several hats. When you're up against deadlines and/or budgetary constraints, quality can't be compromised and sometimes there is no option other than to bring in external help for short periods of time. Sometimes, that is the least-risk option for your organisation.
2Ducks does not promise to be an expert in all areas of IT and as such will not take on work it is not skilled in unlike many similar companies. 2Ducks works with several partners and as such can recommend trusted partners to carry out any specialised work.
Craig Robinson of 2Ducks is very much a general IT manager who has previously worked on some extremely large IT projects but believes everything is scalable and is now very much looking at helping smaller companies used the same tools but on a smaller scale and as such be efficient and competitive. There is no reason why a small company cannot use the same or better technology as a multinational, all aspects are scalable and technology really can make a business more efficient and competitive.
The majority of experience is within Professional services particularly Legal. Craig has previously worked for Hammonds (now Squire Sanders) and more recently DWF seeing rapid growth in each and having to work with the IT infrastructure to enable the growth of the firms
2Ducks is particularly attracted to small businesses who may be a little lost in which way their IT needs to go especially as the IT world is ever changing. The main issues that have been seen in small businesses are with regards to remote working, IT security and backups.
2Ducks equally is interested in new startups as if a small firm sets off on the right path from an IT perspective it will be scalable for the business growth but also from an IT perspective be more efficient both in IT and financially.
Craig is fully qualified in ITIL which is very much the IT standard in large companies but again the principals can still be followed in a small company to give efficiencies and high availability of all IT systems.
