As an HR consultant, I work with small businesses who don’t have the need for a full-time HR person but regularly need advice and support – these are some of the things I do:

  • Design, review and implement handbooks, policies and procedure

  • Analyse the organisation’s current HR programs and design and implement solutions

  • Analyse data from employee surveys
  • Advise on how results gathered from employee surveys can be used to create a more effective organisation
  • Encourage stronger engagement through employee communication and feedback at individual, team and company level
  • Advise on the delivery of consistent and comprehensive employee communications to support the business culture internally
Recruitment and selection
  • Create job descriptions and person specifications
  • Advise on best practice and fairness
  • Write advertisements and advise on the best way to attract the best employees
  • Design application forms
  • Shortlist candidates
  • Design interview scripts
  • Sit on interview panels
  • Liaise with potential candidates
  • Advise with regards to onboarding
  • Design induction programmes
Training delivery and design
